Delta has long adhered to the most stringent international standards for maintaining eco-friendly manufacturing processes. There are no objectionable materials, dyes or chemicals used in the production of our fabrics and garments that may potentially present a threat to the health and wellbeing of our workers, customers or the environment. Moreover, Delta provides documented literature advising everyone in the manufacturing supply chain as to the proper methods of storage, use and disposal of the dyes and chemicals used in the production process. Delta purchases dyes and exclusively from members of ETAD (Ecological & Toxicological Association of Dyes and organic pigment manufacturers).

 

Since 2004, Delta’s sewage is treated prior to discharge through the auspices of state-of-the-art wastewater treatment systems installed in our manufacturing facilities.

 

As part of a long-term sustainability plan launched in 2008, Delta has pinpointed its critical areas that it intends to address as a strategic priority as part of its ever expanding Green agenda:

In forwarding this agenda, Delta is pursuing:

 

  • Aligning its environmental policy & practices with current trends in public awareness, technological development and environmental regulation worldwide
  • Developing an environmental strategy that will ensure the Company’s long-term standing as an environmentally responsible corporate citizen
  • Establishing an organizational infrastructure for environmental management and carbon accounting, as well as for a broad-based environmental management system
  • Identifying issues for Immediate Environmental Action that will provide measurable results in the short term
